BACKGROUND

The bill seeks to defend reason, science and advancement of human knowledge, stating that evolution "provides humanity with a logical and intellectually compelling explanation for the diversity of life on Earth." It demands that the advancement of science be protected from those unconcerned with the adverse impacts of global warming and climate change, and concludes that the "teaching of creationism in some public schools compromises the scientific and academic integrity of the United States' education systems."

So far the bill has 16 co-sponsors. Check to see if your representative is one of them. If so, thank him or her for defending reason, science and the advancement of human knowledge!
