The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) has released the first ever "Secular Town Hall," a groundbreaking video event focusing on America's fastest-growing religious demographic: nonbelievers.

Filmed in Madison, Wis., the event is moderated by Emmy-winning science journalist Cara Santa Maria and features a dozen participants from a variety of states.

"The secular demographic is the fastest growing in America, yet the Religious Right controls all three branches of government," says Santa Maria. "This Town Hall is designed to help people learn what secular Americans are passionate about."

Participants answer Santa Maria's questions on topics such as: "Are there secret atheists in Congress?" "Has Google replaced God for Millennials?" and "Does belief in an afterlife make people indifferent to climate change?"

"FFRF will be pushing public broadcasting networks to air the Secular Town Hall as educational programming to balance out their many hours of religious-themed shows," says FFRF Co-President Annie Laurie Gaylor. "These taxpayer-funded networks air hours of dusty religious programs with titles like: Ancient Roads: From Christ to Constantine. It's an opportunity for them to provide some fresh, secular content."

America's long-neglected demographic is seeking equal time for its perspective.
